The work examines a so called Pilzkultur (fungal culture*).
The atomic model is placed under a convex glass pane on a high, upright podium. In the model plane there is a red button on the pedestal. When the button is pressed, the atomic mushroom explosion is generated and shines bright reminding the Bikini Atoll atomic bomb tests documented in film archives.
The work moves associatively between a loan object of a school or a museum and a collector‘s toy. It manifests itself as a utility object that stands as a model for something whose use is to be avoided as far as possible.

* In German language this terminology can be associated in different ways. First, the mycological or fungal culture as we know from botanical science, second the mushroom culture as agricultural productions of Champignons and third as poetic expressions like the culture of mu- shroom, or the culture of (mushroom) drugs etc.

The object places at the „Element of Chance“ show in Berlin
