Augenzwinkern für Etwas das nicht da sein wollte
(A wink for something that didn't want to be there)
Genre: Drawings
Materials: Ink and/or pencil (graphite) on 150g paper
Dimensions: 50 x 70 cm
Production: 2010
The drawing cycle Augenzwinkern für Etwas das nicht da wollte
is an attempt to break our habitual visual constructions in a humorous way. The motifs are not only taken from architectural epochs such as the Baroque or the Bauhaus movement, they also form - albeit two-dimensionally - architectures themselves, namely architectures of the gaze.
In these drawings, the gaze can only unfold one after the
other and open up the content. It becomes a physical experience.
An example: The surface required to perform a sirtaki dance forms the floor plan of a skyscraper (sirtaki skyscraper)
